About Sushi And Japanese Cuisine Hatanaka

Let me introduce you to Sushi And Japanese Cuisine Hatanaka, a Japanese restaurant that feels quietly confident the moment you step inside. Tucked into Kanazawa at 4-21 Konohanamachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 920-0852, Japan, this spot reflects the city’s balance of tradition and everyday comfort. The focus here is on Sushi And Japanese Cuisine Hatanaka as a place where careful technique meets a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to settle in whether you’re planning a casual meal or something a little more intentional.

The vibe leans classic Japanese without feeling stiff. Warm interiors, calm pacing, and thoughtful presentation all work together, so the food naturally takes center stage. Dine-in is the main draw, yet delivery is also available, which makes enjoying their menu simple even on busy nights. Service feels attentive rather than rushed, and that balance adds to the overall ease of the experience.

What stands out most is the range of offerings. From neatly crafted sushi to small plates designed for sharing, the menu invites you to explore at your own pace. Organic dishes appear throughout, adding a fresh, clean edge to the flavors. Late-night food options make the restaurant especially appealing after long workdays or evening strolls through Kanazawa. Alcohol is available as well, including beer and wine, which pair smoothly with the lighter textures of the cuisine.

I often describe Sushi And Japanese Cuisine Hatanaka as a place that understands rhythm. Courses arrive comfortably spaced, flavors are clear and confident, and nothing feels overdone. It’s the kind of restaurant you recommend easily because it fits so many occasions, from solo dinners to relaxed group meals, while staying rooted in Japanese culinary tradition.

Location-wise, the setting feels convenient yet tucked away, giving locals and travelers an easy stop between sightseeing and evening plans. The address places it within reach of central Kanazawa, which adds to its appeal for repeat visits.

Unforgettable experience. Not only for the taste buds but for the service, atmosphere and overall experience. There is a menu in Japanese but after translating through Chat Gpt we preferred to tell the server and chef our preferred flavours and there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy. They even created dishes outside of the menu, just for us. We also had the Omakase Sake. With each selection we were educated well. We have been in Japan for 20 days and one of our food highlights. Most expensive one we’ve had but totally worth it if you can budget. Would highly recommend.

Was surprised how everything was explained in detail in English. We ordered the 5,000 yen omakase course and it was well worth it. Very unique with the great service and a lady sushi chef (first time in my life). If you don’t speak Japanese well like me this is the perfect place to enjoy the night.

Lovely cosy place, run by the most welcoming couple. We had the vegetable + fish + soy meat omakase and everything was delicious.

What a great dining omakase experience I had! Every bite was a party in my mouth. Very pleasant. Ayako-San, the owner, has done an impeccable job in show casing Kanazawa’s best. I’m coming back! A little tip: please book far in advance especially when you have a big group. They are usually full even during low season.

Among my favorite dining experiences in Japan. I booked ahead to get a seat at the bar for Omakase and ordered the sake pairing to go with it. They did an excellent job featuring local seafood as well as mostly local (Ishikawa Prefecture) sake, which I think is always a nice touch. Some of the highlights for me were the hairy crab, black throat sea perch (served as warm sushi), horse mackerel, and local conch. I was particularly impressed with the service on a whole here. All of the staff were able to explain the dishes with a fair amount of detail in English, explaining where certain ingredients came from and why sakes were chosen to pair with certain courses. The staff was much younger than you normally see at restaurants of this caliber in Japan, and it was also nice to see women on the team doing more than swap your plates out and refill your drinks. I loved watching the staff work together—they don’t have as clearly defined roles as you might see in other restaurants, so the whole dinner felt very fluid and not quite as uptight as places like this can sometimes be. A different staff member would introduce each dish to me. Overall it was a very comfortable and friendly environment to enjoy a high-end meal. I’m looking forward to returning next time I’m in Kanazawa.

Excellent restaurant with a young yet professional staff, head chef and manager. It is rare to see younger female chefs but it is heart warming to learn the female owner helping the younger generation make a career in the culinary scene. Amazing food, fresh ingredients from various regions in Japan. A contemporary Kaiseki experience with very personalized touches from chef representing Shizuoka with representative ingredients such as tomatoes and green tea!

An absolutely amazing omakase experience. Takaskima-san is a great master chef and getting a counter seat adds to experience if not only enjoying every dish that is served but also watching how he creates food art pieces. The absolute highlight of our trip. We enjoyed every minute of our fantastic dinner sitting at the front row of this culinary theater.

We had an incredible tasting menu so a special occasion. The food was expertly prepared and the was easily the best meal of our trip. If you are doing the tasting menu ask for Sake pairing. Thanks so much for a lovely evening! Saikōdeshita!
